Models 5010, 5011, 5014, 5015 - Model 5010 and 5011 have eight SPDT switches. “R”- normally closed, “D” - normally open.Eight normally open auxiliary contacts (S) close for time cycle. Models 5014 and 5015 have the same switch arrangement except for only four SPDT switches and four auxiliary contacts. Models 5011 and 5014 are slave units.

This accurate, multi-circuit timing device can individually operate from one to 24 switches. It is designed to control a series of operations with a variable time sequence, such as a refrigeration defrost cycle. Built with positive snap-action switches to provide positive and immediate switching. this field-adjustable defrost control combines ease of programming with accuracy and reliability.
• The 5000 Series provides a high level of adjustment flexibility. The basic units are with either four or eight sequentially programmed SPDT, 15 amp., cam-operated switches. It differs from common multi-circuit controls in that each switch is independently controlled by the combined action of two separate time shafts. This arrangement makes it possible to combine extremely short “on” periods with extremely long “off” periods, such as a two-minute “on “ period once a day.

•Switches can be cycled independently at selected times for independently adjusted “on” periods. For example, one switch can be adjusted to operate eight times a day, with a 10-minute “on” period. Each switch is actuated by an individually adjustable cycle timer consisting of a cam assembly with a drive gear designed to rotate one revolution at relatively high speed and stop, giving one cycle to the switch. Each cycle timer is initiated by an individual program timer which rotates at the relatively slow speed of one revolution per 24 hours and includes a molded dial with slots into which trippers can be inserted. In operation, a tripper in the program timer starts the cycle timer, which then goes through one cycle and comes to rest. Placement of the trippers determines when “on” periods occur. Adjustment of the cycle timer determines the length of the “on” periods.
• The 5000 Series defrost control is available as a master unit with a synchronous drive motor and either four or eight individually controlled switches—or as a slave unit (without a motor) of either four or eight individually controlled switches. Up to 24 switches can be operated by combining slave units with just a single master unit.
• Master units have one industrial-duty synchronous motor that is designed for long life.
